Natural look, plenty of depth

Warwick RockBass Infinity 5 Natural Transparent High Polish, five-string bass

The Warwick RockBass Infinity 5 builds on the German manufacturer's tried-and-tested Infinity bass guitar by adding a low B string, which gives even more depth to its already flexible sound. Its ergonomically contoured red alder body, topped with AAA flamed maple veneer and a Natural Transparent High Polish finish, blends modern design with classic elegance. A bolt-on maple neck with ekanga veneer stripes and a wenge fingerboard ensures both stability and comfortable playability. With 24 extra-tall jumbo frets and a very flat 26" fingerboard radius, the five-string Infinity will handles everything from deep grooves to solo passages with ease. The pickup config – a J-style single coil paired with an MM-style humbucker, both from MEC – combined with the instrument's active two-band electronics and coil switching, delivers a wide tonal spectrum suited to a variety of styles.

Five is the magic number

With its extended range, from a low B to the upper registers, the Warwick Infinity 5 is capable of a wide variety of styles. The classic pickup setup – single coil at the neck, humbucker at the bridge – delivers a broad spectrum of sounds, from warm and rounded to punchy and assertive. The balance control lets players fine-tune the pickups' response, while the active two-band electronics make it possible to shape highs and lows with precision. A mini toggle switch expands the options further, offering serial, parallel, or single-coil modes for the humbucker. With 16.5mm string spacing, a 34" scale length, and an ergonomic design, the bass is well-equipped for everything from fingerstyle to modern techniques like slap and tapping. All in all, the 5-string Infinity offers a well-balanced mix of playability and versatility, making it a solid choice for both studio work and live performance.

For ambitious bassists

The Warwick RockBass Infinity 5 is aimed squarely at bassists who want to take advantage of the extended range a low B string offers – without sacrificing flexibility or playability. The combination of active electronics, MEC pickups, and coil switching gives even the most ambitious musicians a wide stylistic spectrum to choose from, from Funk and Jazz to heavier styles like Rock and Metal – where that extra string adds serious low-end punch. Thanks to its slim neck profile and moderate weight, the Infinity lives up to its name, still feeling manageable however long the session is. This five-string, admittedly, isn't intended as a beginner's bass – it's been built expressly for more advanced players looking to expand their musical horizons, with solid craftsmanship and the signature Warwick sound to back it up.
