My replacement Sitar bridge arrrived.

The bone saddle is availlable separately.
I'd paid double to have it mounted on a proper-shaped wooden platform.

Done by a toddler in a sweatshop.... big gaps and done with a glue gun !!!

Should've just bought the Cow Bone saddle, and made my own platform.

Still, it's up to me to make it work... 🤣🤣🤣

dans l’ensemble ça fait le job, après si vous êtes bricoleur, vous pouvez toujours refaire le pont en bois, car encore un fois pour le prix, il ne faut pas s’attendre à un chevalet fait par un luthier de nos région...

mais le chevalet en lui même est correct, et l’os à l'air correct, on voit que c’est artisanal...
Prévoyez quand même de quoi retravaillé la haute, et le galbe, en fonction de votre sitar ; par rapport à la dernière frette, la hauteur des cordes sont d’environ 8 mm . j’ai donc dû rabaisser le pont, car au départ quand je l’ai positionner, les cordes étaient bien trop hautes, environ 15 mm..!

mais avec un bon ponçage à plat sur du papier 80, puis un coup de lime pour ajuster le galbe afin que les cordes « chantent bien », c’est impeccable !

Die Brücke ist recht grob gearbeitet und muss noch weiter an das jeweilige Instrument angepasst werden. Hatte etwas mehr erwartet. Kann sie aber dennoch gut gebrauchen, da ich die Fähigkeiten habe sie mir passend zu machen. Für Menschen die handwerklich nicht so geschickt sind, ist diese Brücke eventuell nicht so geeignet. Für den Preis aber ein nicht schlechter Ausganspunkt.
