Pyramid Stainless Steel 009-046

Just wanted to try Stainless Steel set, so I bought this one. Surprised by a bit rubbery feeling of plain strings when restringing. However, after a little bit of stretching they are very stable. Sound wise they are very good, lively and thick and bright, but not excessively bright. 4 stars for quality, as after 2 days of jamming a blackish "rust" appeared on B string.
Generally, good cheap set of strings for those, who are on budget and change strings often, as there is not much stretching necessary and the guitar is playable minutes after. I play metal and use Floyd.

Initially I only tried Pyramid strings because, at the price Thomann were asking, I felt that I wouldn’t be losing out by much if I didn’t like them. Now, I buy them every time I shop with Thomann.

The strings are great quality and sound excellent. I’ve never had any issues with tuning stability or breakage and find these strings to last a decent length of time.

I would recommend any musician looking for strings to consider Pyramid. I’ve never been disappointed with these strings and I’ve used them on acoustic, electric and bass.

I've always found the presence of an 11-gauge B string in a standard set of nines a bit odd, in that it doesn't give balanced tension across the plain strings. I'm also allergic to nickel, so when I noticed that the Pyramid range sold by Thomann included a stainless steel set with a 9-12-16-26-36-46 spread, it was a no-brainer to try them out. Very happy with the results so far - keep their tuning well once stretched and the balance on top really does feel better.

As with my other review for the 9-42, these strings are literally the BEST after years of trying more popular American/British brands.

I thank my lucky stars to have found this amazing German manufacturer. I literally buy at least one pack whenever I make a Thomann purchase since I'm from the UK.

The reason I leave a review here also, is to echo that sentiment but also because I use a custom set, the 9-42 and then swap the 42 for 46 to have equal tension on all strings.
That also leaves extra plain strings since they tend to be the ones that snap and rust quicker being that they are the same gauges in both sets.

These strings are even serviceable on my acoustic guitar. Pyramid is truly an amazing company.
