nachdem ich mich, vor Ort, nach ca.vierstündigem Aufenthalt, völlig fertig, und erfolglos aus dem Staub machen wollte, nahm ich, mittlerweile erwartungslos, das 22er Big Apple aus dem Regal und brachte es in die Kabine. Und da war es.....das was ich immer wollte. Ich war sozusagen schockverliebt. Nun war ich auf der Suche nach etwas Ergänzendem für die linke Seite. Ich dachte immer ich bräuchte etwas Anderes - und wenn es auch jeweils wunderschöne Becken waren, nie hörte ich beim Wechsel das, was ich eigentlich wollte. Das jetzige 20er Big Apple hat das Problem gelöst. Jetzt hab ich da eine wunderschöne Kombination, sozusagen eine Familie! Ich bin angekommen!
Kurzum: Zumindest für Jazzer meine absolute Empfehlung!

hiermit habe ich mein Jazz-Ride gefunden

Ich habe mir dieses Ride gekauft, mit der Erwartung, ein klangliches Zwischending zwischen einem Zildjian K-Ride 20" (mit einem recht klaren Stick-Sound) und einem Meinl Byzance 20" Sand Ride (mit einem recht washigen Stick-Sound) zu finden. Als ich dann das Meinl 20" Byzance Big Apple Ride bekommen und angespielt hatte, war ich zuerst enttäuscht, da dieses Becken doch sehr washig ist. Beim dann doch recht intensiveren Bespielen dieses Rides entwickelte sich dieses Becken in meinen Ohren zu einem wahnsinnig guten Jazz-Ride, das ich doch gut in der BigBand und in kleinen Jazz-Combos einsetzen kann. Für mich ist das Teil mein neues Jazz-Ride und, beim Einsatz in der groovigen Band, als weiteres Crash-Ride, da sich das Becken auch hervorragend crashen lässt.
Für mich eine klare Kaufempfehlung für die Jazzer/innen unter uns.
