I bought these strings because the strings on my mandolin were too hard. These are much lighter. They are good quality, but I feel there's a slight loss of tone because of their extreme lightness. Next time, I'll buy them one thickness up.

Je viens de me mettre à la mandoline et d'acquérir un modèle napolitain de 1912 restauré par un luthier. J'ai trouvé les cordes d'origine un peu dures et les ai remplacées par ce modèle. C'est confortable, ça sonne et ... ça ne frise pas (je précise que ma Venzana était réglée très basse). Donc c'est parfait!!!!!!!

Neulich habe ich mir eine gebrauchte Mandoline gekauft, na, und was braucht man da als allererstes? Natürlich neue Saiten. Und wie immer bin ich bei Thoman schnell fündig geworden! Klar, natürlich gibt es diese Saiten auch von anderen Herstellern, doch da ich insgesamt mit GHS-Strings immer zufrieden war, dachte ich, DIE nehme ich, damit kannst du nichts falsch machen. Tja, und der Klang dieser Saiten überzeugt mich auch diesmal. Klingen sehr ausgewogen und harmonisch, schön präsent, aber nicht zu klirrend. Was mich aber umsomehr SEHR positiv überrascht hat, war die Tatsache, dass man diese Strings auch für ein Tenor-Banjo nutzen kann!!! Denn auf den Bliestern der Einzelsaiten steht "BANJO / MANDOLINE"!!! Na, was für eine Überraschung!!! Und noch besser: Bei der Mandoline handelt es sich ja um 8 Saiten. Das heißt, für ein Tenor-Banjo hat man hier gleich 2 Saitensätze - und das zu diesem günstigen Preis!!! Ich bin begeistert. Bei der nächsten Bestellung werde ich mir also diesen Satz für mein Banjo mitbestellen. Da hat man gleich 2 Sätze zum Preis von einem! SUPER!!!
