I'm quite happy with this piezo. It does what I expected and is relatively easy to install. However, those wanting to be able to adjust volume and tone from the guitar would better off installing a version with preamp. I choose this one because personally I didn't want to drill too many holes in the body.

Der Pickup wurde von mir in eine 300-Euro-Salon-Gitarre eingebaut und überzeugt klangtechnisch in diesem Preisrahmen vollkommen.

Der Pickup und die zugehörige Gurtpin-Buchse werden gut und wertig verpackt geliefert. Was jedoch fehlt, ist eine beiliegende Montageanleitung. Ohne diese weiß man beispielsweise nicht, wie die Kabelenden des Pickup an der Buchse zu verlöten sind. Besagte Anleitung findet man erst durch mühseliges Zusammensuchen auf der Fishman-Webseite. Das ist einfach doof und sollte bei einem Markenhersteller kundenfreundlicher gelöst sein.

Wünschenswert wären auch noch gewesen, wenn dem Artikel ein Montagehilfsmittel in Form einer Papphülse beigelegt worden wäre. Mit normalen Männerarmen hat man bei nicht wenigen Gitarren vermutlich Probleme, die relativ kurze Buchse durch das Schallloch bis zur Bohrung zu manövrieren. Ich musste mir hierfür eine ca. 10 cm lange Papphülse basteln, um besagte Buchse einsetzen zu können. Wäre schön gewesen, wenn ein Hersteller dieses Problem dem Käufer vorausschauend abgenommen hätte und solch einen 3-Cent-Artikel (incl. Anleitung) gleich mit beigelegt hätte. Dann hätte es von mir auch sofort die maximale Sternzahl gegeben.

Von den nervigen Einbauproblemchen mal abgesehen: es ist ein sehr gutes Produkt!
