I've always used Super Slinky, superb strings but always found the lower strings to be too bendy and a bit thin sounding. As a lead guitarist not too much of a problem! Then I came across the Hybrid. This is now the perfect set for me. The same bendy high strings and a more sturdy lower end. The overall sound is a lot better as well. Great!

If your a string wuss like me, you'll be able to bend better on 9's but may like the chug sound of 10's.
So why not get this hybrid set with 9's for the high strings and 10's for the low?! Best strings I've owned, really like em.

Um in Sachen Sound und Haltbarkeit etwas zuzulegen, habe ich speziell für den Bereich Heavy Metal mal geschaut, welche Saiten mein Lieblingsgitarrist Glenn Tipton (Judas Priest) benutzt.

Als ich bei dieser Suche dann auf Ernie Ball RPS gestoßen bin, habe ich direkt für alle meiner 3 Gitarren bestellt und jeweils verschiedenen Stärken gewählt.
Die Hybrid Saiten habe ich, um gleichermaßen Solieren und druckvoll Rhythmus spielen zu können auf meine Jackson RRXMG mit Floyd Rose Tremolo aufgezogen.

Direkt nach dem Aufziehen und dem ersten Durchstimmen haben die Saiten eine enorme Stimmstabilität gezeigt (selbst nach exzessivem Tremoloeinsatz!) und einen vollen und satten Klang erzeugt, welcher sehr lange durchklingt!

Verstärkt und gespickt mit High-Gain-Sounds a la Judas Priest zeigen diese Saiten, was richtig in ihnen steckt:

die in 9er-Stärke gehaltenen hohen Saiten in Verbindung mit dem EMG 81 Pickup Solotechnisch einfach alles mit sich machen, von Singen bis Schreien!

Die tiefen Saiten in 10er-Stärke hingegen laden zum drückenden und donnernden Rhythmusspiel ein. Hier kommt jeder Palm-Mute und jeder Powerchord richtig heavy und druckvoll rüber!

Fazit: Ideale Saiten um Rhythmus- und Solospiel ohne Einbußen kombinieren zu können, speziell im Bereich der härteren Musikgangart!
