I am using it with my APX 600.
The oval shape seems right, and it can be fitted inside the hole.
But even if carefully placed in position, it is not a tight fit. It's wobbly and it constently falls off or into the guitar. Not even when playing : it happens every time I place the guitar into its transport case for example.
Unacceptable per Yamaha standards, especially at that price.
