Ich war auf der Suche nach Jazzetüden um sie in meinen Übungsalltag zu integrieren, um mehr Fokus auf Technik und Timing zu legen und dafür passen Pat Metheny's Etudes natürlich wie die Faust auf Auge.

Hier erwarten einen keine Erklärungen, kein Text (bis auf das Vorwort), es ist nur schlichtes Notenmaterial zum runtershreddern. Das macht aber mehr Laune als nur einfache Skalen und Arppegien und spannt wenigstens einen (jazzigen) musikalischen Bogen, der Spaß macht und auch interessant klingt.

Das dürfte mich aber noch ein paar Jahre beschäftigen auf Technik und Theorieebene, deshalb: ich bin super zufrieden damit!

Ich bin ein kompletter Jazz-Anfänger und habe vor kurzem Pat Metheny für mich entdeckt und als ich gesehen habe, das dieses Buch existiert, wollte ich es gleich haben!

Bin noch am ersten Stück dran, da ich das Buch erst seit kurzem habe und es macht bereits viel Spaß.

Ich benutze das Buch mit einem Metronom, um mein alternate-Picking zu üben und um ein paar Jazz-Licks in die Finger zu bekommen.

Ich kann dieses Buch jedem Metheny oder Jazz-Fan empfehlen, der Jazzetüden sucht.
