These do not have the acorn tip of the wood versions I have (rounder)- they do feel slightly different to play, especially on the ride cymbal. This will always come down to personal taste/technique. To me they 'feel' heavier in the way they play - they seem to crash through cymbals with more force but are not as subtle on lighter work. The nylon tips can take more abuse than the wood ones though - perhaps a more economical practice/rehearsal stick & use the wood ones in the gig? Try & decide yourself is the ultimate advice - they don't cost that much.

Good sticks, although not as advertised.

I bought these sticks as they were supossed to be heavy because I wanted to use them as practice sticks. When I got them, they were way lighter than advertised, and one of them seemed to have a crack in the wood. Otherwise, they are ok.
