Als ich das Mundstück das erste mal angeblasen hatte ,bin ich fast erschrocken.Bei Blattstärke 2,5 bekam ich fast keinen Ton raus.Mit 1,5 lässt es sich gut spielen und klingt sofort nach Sydney Bechet,bei geeignetem Notenmaterial.Sämtliche Verbiegungen des Tons lassen sich realisieren.Von all meinen Mundstücken ist das 5JB das lauteste,wobei es nicht agressiv oder nervend klingt.Ich meine eher weich.

Für Anfänger ist es jedoch weniger geeignet,da man viel Luft benötigt und die Intonation im Griff haben sollte.Für Jazzer ein Muss.

Mein Lieblingsmundstück

Durch die große Bahnöffnung spricht das Mundstück gut an und erlaubt ohne Anstrengung viel Färbung. Der Klang geht sehr stark ins "jazzige/unorthodoxe" von daher kann ich es jedem empfehlen, der Klezmer, Blues, Swing, etc auf der Klarinette spielen will
