A number of design decisions have made this possible: Its stripped-down signal path does without extras like reverb or an external effects loop, and instead of a traditional tone stack, the SingleSix features Tone and Mood controls. These work like a tilt EQ to shape the sound, while also adjusting the amp's response from smooth and subtle to more aggressive. With 6W of power, the combo is perfect for home use, sounding excellent even at living-room levels.

Hardware that gets to the point

Outwardly inspired by the aesthetic of a 1950s French public address system (yes, that's right!), TWS has reimagined this vintage design as a modern, high-end bedroom guitar amp. Inside, the output stage comprises a GZ34 rectifier, a 6SL7 preamp tube, and a 6L6 power tube - which team up with heavy-duty transformers to deliver a full, warm, and punchy sound even at living-room levels. The wiring and layout inside the SingleSix are kept deliberately minimalistic - since short signal paths and low contact resistance lead to an especially clear, open tone. As usual, TWS has avoided long cable runs or plug-in connectors at all costs; instead, every component is point-to-point soldered, for maximum purity.
