The Thon Rackdrawer 1U is a well-built and practical addition to any rack setup. The construction is solid, with smooth drawer movement and a secure locking mechanism. It’s great for storing accessories like cables, picks, capos, or small tools, keeping everything organized and within reach. I use it to store my studio guitar pedalboard, and it fits 10–12 compact guitar effect pedals comfortably.

The installation is straightforward, and it fits standard 19" racks perfectly. The sliding mechanism works well, though it could be slightly smoother. One minor downside is that the lock can feel a bit stiff at times, but it does its job of keeping the contents secure.

Overall, it's a reliable rack drawer with a sturdy build, making it a great investment for musicians and audio professionals who need extra storage in their rack setup.

Well made unit but...

I bought this to use with the ProducerRTA studio desk but sadly the ProducerRTA desk has no rear rack mountings... but I won't hold that against the rack unit.

Just be aware that you need to check whatever you're going to use this for that the rack unit has rear mounts - otherwise for me it was unusable... good quality though.

bought 2, 1 was great, the 2nd was a bit rusty

Bought two but one of them was a bit rusty. I didn't return it, because I wasn't eager to bother with it: packing and going to post office. Anyway, it isn't visible in the rack and it doesn't affect the functionality. Therefore 3/5 for quality and 4/5 in overall.

Pretty nice little tray

I like this tray. Pefect for my guitar pedals set up as FX in the rack. FGot it all hooked up and running smoothly. The tray itself is a bit lightweight and flexy but I made it work. Seems strong enough for a while.

Sturdy and does the job, but if you want to extend the arm length, you'll need a phillips head etc. A bit finicky, but got there in the end.

Handy drawer for Rack units

very simple drawer for rack units, does what it needs to, one slight drawback though is that its not the smoothest drawer on the rails provided, but not so bad that it gets stuck when pulling it out. Its nice that its got a slight lip at the front to stop things falling off the drawer.

A bit large for a normal 19inch

I had trouble to open or close the drawer because it is a bit larger than the 19inch rack size. I had to bend the drawer in order to reduce its size..
But otherwise it works well and worth it for the price.
Would be nice to have a product for deeper rack.

Sturdy, but..

It is built very well, but it has to be fastened in both ends. If not, the drawer is very wobbly. It is easy to install and to adjust.
