I bought the bowl as a gift for my sister. She is a yoga teacher and likes to begin and end her class with some chanting. I thought it would add to this. The tone sounds different when it is on the cushion, on a wooden floor or a stone floor.She loves being able to vary the sounds and is planning to start a collection of different bowls to get a variety of sounds. A very successful gift.
