I've owned Sela and Schlagwerk cajons and this cajon from Thomann punches above its weight. When it arrived the sound was dry and tight. By loosening the stings a few turns the sound opened up and was comparable with my Schlagwerk Urban cajon.Not quite as loud and clear but close. So for the price - highly recommended.
