Clicky clacky's

These a great little things, very handy and very versatile. There's quite a knack to getting a good sound of them, throwing and spinning them to get a vvvvvclick sound. An interesting sound to put through effects and alot of possiblity for sound design as is a very fast series of clicks produced can be slowed down and maniputlated to your hearts content. all in all quite an intriging wee noise maker

Interesting sound

These are interesting, odd things. The sound is good. I've dropped them almost every time I've played around with them so the advice to play with them above a soft surface is good. They haven't broken on wooden floors despite a few drops.

Vorab: Ich hatte schon Erfahrung mit der kleineren Ausführung dieses Magneten-Duos, doch die größere Version überzeugt mich noch mehr, da sie länger nachklingen. Der Sound ist einzigartig. Die Handhabung und auch die Mikrofonierung im Studio ist schnell erlernt: Man wirft sie entweder in die Höhe, wo sie sich dann treffen und klackern und surren - oder man schiebt sie auf einer Ebene zusammen. Mit mehreren Magnet-Paaren erhöht man die klanglichen Möglichkeiten zusätzlich. Zuletzt noch: Die Magnete sind sehr kräftig, man kann damit auch Zettel am Kühlschranktür befestigen; aus Vorsicht erscheint mir die Lagerung mit Abstand zu Smartphones o.ä. zumindest ratsam.
