It is wonderfully loud. I can change it tones and loudness by covering the tongue opening by hand, cloth or even using the core tube from paper towel, which you cannot achieve with the V-shape version.
For better control, I would NOT swing it in the air, but instead hold the handle vertically (by hand or with a clamp) and turn the body clockwise with my right index finger. In this way, you can generate a very smooth continuous rattling. Beware of splinters though - can put on a sticky tape at the edge of the opening. Hope you like it too.

...und das ist auch mein einziger Kritikpunkt. Einen längeren, zusammenhängenden Sound kriege ich auch nach einiger Zeit nicht hin, immer wieder stockt das Biest. Der Klang ist aber genau der, nach dem ich gesucht habe!
Eventuell muss ich da mal mit der Feile ran, da geht bestimmt noch was.

le tarif est très correct, un instrument en bois ,plutôt écolo, bien construit , par contre toute la famille grince des dents et se bouche les oreilles lors de l'utilisation , il est super puissant , donc inutilisable tel quel, il faut que je trouve à la modifier . Pour des supporter de foot , je recommande.

Acheté pour ajouter quelques percussions pour jouer en orchestre harmonique.
Qualité moyenne, l'objet est en bois un peu brut, j'ai dû poncer un peu quelques bords pour éviter d'éventuelles échardes.
Niveau sonore, le son est efficace, mais trop fort à mon goût.
La lame est un peu raide, il faut donner pas mal d'élan pour arriver à faire tourner le corps de l'instrument, et garder une poigne ferme pour pas que la poignée glisse dans la main.
