I use this with my archtop guitar in its upper bout near the strap pin. If fits great despite the slightly arched body and stays put.

Does it's job well

I had an SD System STM-99 microphone (for wind instruments) with a spare gooseneck. It fits nicely on this well build t.bone Lucan System CC 200 guitar clamp. I plan to purchase other versions (violin, clarinet,...) as it expands the possibilities for the use of this microphone considerably.

For me it's the solution for this type of microphones for guitars. Sometimes guitarists are not so happy but if you show them how it works and that they themselves can finish to attach the piece to their instrument, they will be happy to use it. Using a bit of tape you can adapt this mount to other microphones, in case the guitarist is happier with a DPA mic. But in my opinion, I feel more at peace with this mount than with the DPA mount.
