Great Devise

Thomann stuff are the best
I am actually a guitar player however I have a Fender P-bass that I use in my home recording studio.
Now days I am not into 101 modeling amps, because I don't have the time to audition them all and mostly I get a good tone and live with it so, I went for this preamp that sounds amazing. You can get a nice tone from Jazz, Blues, rock etc. straight into your recording devise
It is designed and used by a legend, what can I say more.
Check it out, you won't be disappointed, great value for money

Rare Treasure!

One of the very few rack-compatible bass preamps (1RU).
Chock full of variables, it will take you a while to find your sweet spot and explore all the options of this one.

It has two sections, with different features, one dedicated to emulating tube amp characteristics.
These two can be used independently, or simultaniously, mixing or defeating individual output levels BEFORE master output level. Very versatile.

Also, apart from the standard front input, it has two switchable instrument inputs on the back panel, enabling you to keep two basses plugged in and switching from one to the other with the A/B input selector in front. Nice feature.

It's beautiful to look at (IMO) and of sturdy build quality.

I got it because my one rack unit (1RU) BBE BMax died on me a while ago. BUT, lo and behold, after i got this one, i managed to get the BMax running again (replacing a few potmeters and some light soldering).

So now i have a three-section bass preamp, individually mixable and levelable at will, the net result feeding into an 'active' cabinet (i.e. with proprietary built-in power amp).
I'm in heaven!
