GT
very handy and easy to use
Gerard Toets 30.10.2024
Great sound, and that is the most important thing.
The handling (using the instrument) is mostly intuitiveafter I played with it for 30 minutes.
It has all the features I need, except an internal Litium battery with ext. charger. I can record high quality for days and days on just one inexpensive memory-card, but with the 3xAA batteries it will run out of power within one day! So be prepared and always start with fresh battaries.
The built quality is okee, but I guess when accidently dropped the case can be damaged. But well, dropping condensor microphones is a bad idea anyway. The two metal brackets will protect the mikes somewhat I think, so folding the mikes inwards when not in use is a good idea. Would be nice if the unit would come with a soft pouch, but that is an option.

CF
Exactly what I was looking for, but not perfect.
Conor F 08.12.2021
While the build quality of this device is not perfect, as the plastic casing causes a lot of handling noise, the overall quality of the device is excellent.

I mainly use it to record via external condenser mics, and it does this job very well. But be prepared to store extra batteries in your bag for recording sessions! A 5V USB powerbank would allow for longer recording sessions, but it makes the portability an issue. If this isn't a problem for you, then this device will suit you well.

Great recorder for beginners!
Izmotion 13.03.2023
I'm a professional sound designer, and tend to record both loud and quiet sources for processing.
This recorder is super handy to have if you're on-the-go and tend to record loud sources. I recorded some of my best airplane sounds with this!
That being said, quieter sources become an issue due to the signal-to-noise ration. If you need to pump up the gain considerably, you can expect to hear some self-induced noise, which can be problematic. Sure, noise profiling and filtering is a thing, but that will inevitably affect your processed sounds.
As for the build, it is somewhat plastic-y but solid enough to carry around in a bag without breaking anything.
I can definitely recommend this one for louder sources!

OM
Good Value
Oliver Munkholm 24.10.2020
A solid recorder for the money

The preamps have a lot of noise, but that can be fixed with a fethead, and then it is a very good tool for portable reccording.
