Comfortable, good on a budget, not great for bass heads.
rayzer... 02.06.2025
I bought these to check out as they're fairly cheap, and i wanted a closed back alternative to my Superlux HD668b which i love. Here's my opinion of them after a few days of use..

Comfort wise, no issues there and i can wear them for ages. A bit heavy but they don't feel it when on your head. They don't clamp heavy either which i like.

The cable is non detachable which i don't mind but its fairly long, you'll want to use a velcro strap or similar to tie some of it up if you're using these in public.

Isolation is not the best, tried using them on a bus and sometimes found it hard to listen to music, i'm using the 32 ohm version and even then i found it hard for my phone to get it loud enough. A simple preamp boost on VLC helped there but in quieter locations & using them with my audio interface at home they were perfectly fine.

Music wise, i'm not sure how i feel here because with modern tracks the bass and treble are there and that's when i like them, but on some older songs its lacking & feels like there's something wrong with the sound. If your audio isn't great then these reflect it. While listening to dance music i found the bass isn't the best, the sound feels more neutral & i prefer my Sennheiser HD25 for that better low end.

Build quality is okay, the plastic holders that the yoke is held into on the side of the cups feel a bit sharp on the corners and could do with a light sanding. The headband cushion is comfortable but not replaceable, when it wears out i might pick up a Beyerdynamic one and try it.

Overall opinion.. I'm very happy with them for general use and i like how they look and feel.
Just the problem with music i'm not too sure about yet, i have other headphones to go to for that use case.
For things like Youtube, watching movies, or maybe some gaming they're great and a good budget option.
They're a big bulky headphone so you might get a few stares if you decide to wear them in public, i did when i tried them going to work.
If you don't have the money or want to try more expensive options i would say get a pair, you might like them.

Review from gamer perspective. First and foremost it's better than most of "gaming" headphones up to 100e i would say. Compered to my previous headphones samson sr850, these are a bit better sounding (sr850 was open back), hyperx cloud 2 are total trash, hd 660 absolutely better in every way, cooler master mh752 was pretty similar sounding, but it costs 90+euro. Comfort is acually good, I can use them all day and can't feel any discomfort, I've been using beyerdynamic dt 990 pro previously and it is even more comfortable, but we all know how much it costs... For example in csgo every step is clearly hearable, very easy to tell from which direction enemy are coming. Build quality, well it is thinner metal and cheaper plastic than in real beyerdynamic dt 770 or dt 990, but what do you want from 39e headphones and they're not even that bad...In the end I would recommend them for those who is not using them for studio stuff (I don't really know, maybe they are good for that too, not too much bass, highs not hurting ears), for every day use really solid headphones.
P.S they can have a lot of bass if you like it, just need to use equalizer (for example "Peter's qualized APO", plenty settings there).

PE
Outstanding quality for an affordable price
Phillip Ebert 20.06.2022
As an average consumer, I was looking for headphones that sounded reasonably good even without an amplifier or external DAC from a smartphone or laptop, which is why I decided on the 32 ohm version. The Superlux HD-660 Pro exceeded my expectations and I am very happy with my purchase.

The build quality:
The headphones are well made. The ear cups and the headband stand out positively, which in combination ensure ultimate comfort. The cable is nice and long and there are engraved dots on the inside to tell if both sides are at the same height.

My only two criticisms are that the "glossy look" on the bottom part of the headphones is very prone to fingerprints and adjusting the earpiece width is a bit difficult as the earpiece is difficult to detach and then very easy to move.

The sound:
For me, the sound is the most important point of a headphone, it is great with the headphone. I don't miss bass, mids or treble when listening to music. In addition, the headphones offer a surprisingly wide soundstage for a closed-back model.

Conclusion:
Both in terms of comfort and sound, these headphones are outstanding, and, as already mentioned, all of this without additional hardware and at a good price. If you are looking for a good stand-alone headphone, you will be very satisfied with this one.

Excellent choice for under £50
J_Workman 02.04.2021
I bought this pair of headphones a week or so ago I use them as my daily drivers and for gaming. The pros of these headphones are the price construction and sound quality the only complaints I have are that the headband will dig into the side of your head the first you use them and that the cable is a bit to long for outdoor use.

Cheaper Beyerdynamics HT 770s
Niko123456 09.09.2022
Was looking for affordable headphones that have great sound quality. After sometime I came across the Superlux HD-660 Pro.

With the frequency response of 10Hz-30KHz music sounds amazing, I'm personally a huge bass fan and the headphones didn't provide the deepest bass I was after. However, after changing some PC settings I'm satisfied with the sound and cannot complain. There are definitely better headphones out there but nothing comes close at this price tag.

Unbeatable for this price
Chonk 02.04.2025
I had another pair of Superlux headphones, that lasted 7 years of abuse, so I decided to buy another pair.
Clearly they tried to clone DT770, but the built quality feels cheaper of course due to materials used. But hey, still sturdy enough, all the crucial parts are metal, feels good on the head and most importantly sounds great! Not exactly flat, but pretty good balanced: to bass-y, not too treble-y, the mids are there. I don't think you can find better headphones for this amount of money. Worth trying.

Better headphones than others worth 80-100.
Leonidas_g 15.03.2023
Honestly best headphones I have used.

Compared to some other ones in the past I have to say they are ten times better. I never tried fabric headcovers before but I was sick of fake leather headphones breaking up after while and boy I was surprised.

First of all the noise cancelation of high frequency sounds is top. I can not even hear my laptop fans when they are crazy. I competely love them for that reason and suggest them to anyone gaming on a laptop.

Sound quality is very good and actually much better than more expensive options I used in the past. Totally recommend.
