Obviously, you can use these spurs on any floor tom, but just in case, check diameter, if you maybe have a non-standard floor tom. This is a quality product from Sonor, so no complaints !

Floor tom to bass drum converter

I was looking to convert a floor tom and the Thomann drum team was kind enough to check compatibility with the exact size tom for me before ordering. Fits nicely in the floor tom leg prism clamp and is easy to swap (the other triangle-shaped spurs I have take more time to swap as you have to fully remove the nut from the prism clamp). The inner threads on the rubber foot should have been metal but are rubber only.

Bei der neusten Sparmaßnahme von Sonor hat sich jemand keine Gedanken gemacht: der Gewindeeinsatz im Gummifuß wurde von Metall zu Kunststoff geändert. Schraubt man nun den Gummifuß so weit raus, dass die Metallspikes den Boden nicht mehr berühren können, hängt der Fuß lediglich 2 Gewindegänge (3mm) im Plastik. Versucht man nun, diesen mit der Feststellschraube zu arretieren, drückt sich der Fuß aus dem Gewinde und das Teil ist kaputt (Plastikgewinde doll).
Also kann man nun eine Entscheidung fällen: Fuß weiter reinschrauben (oder gleich ganz weglassen), damit die Kick auf Spikes steht, oder die Spikes abflexen, damit man den Fuß so weit reindrehen kann, dass das Gewinde hält.
