A perfect solution to a problem I didnt know I had!

I use this Showtec device as an Art-Net controller from my PC at the FOH end of events, transmitting data to the stage. The software I use (DMX control 2.12) quickly recognises the device on the network despite going through two network switches and a router first. Using the Showtec to output DMX over IP means less cables to run. I can send all sorts of remote data over a single cable making set up times much quicker. This has been worth every penny.

Does all that is needed, perfect little device

I control DMX devices using iPad and Light Rider app, so i needed to buy expensive license (In-App Purchase to Unlock Art-Net - $130), but for me its all good. Previously used MyDMX Go, but wanted to get rid of wireless communications. If you need stable, wired device - its there.

A purchase that worked for me
WinLin 12.09.2024
I have been using it for almost 2 years. A sturdy and reliable item. Functional, easy to understand and easy to operate if you have a basic knowledge of networking. I like the PoE power supply (if using a switch that supports it), then there is no need to use an additional power supply (included). I recommend it for anyone who needs to transmit DMX signals over a computer network (ArtNET, sACN protocols) at an affordable price.

I have never had problems with it. It's a good thing to bring as a backup to a gig.
