Free with your purchase: Moog MF-109S Saturator – dynamic Drive and analogue warmth for your Sound

Up to and including 31-12-2026, when you purchase this product, you will receive a free Full-version licence:

The Moog MF-109S Saturator ranges from tight, dynamic overdrive and analogue saturation to gentle compression and expansion. It combines a versatile envelope follower with bipolar control of the unique drive circuit found in Moogerfooger Effects plug-ins. This input stage is a key component of every Moogerfooger and adds warmth, distortion and crunch to any sound.

Additional features: The Plug-in also emulates the Minimoog Model D’s Noise generator circuit – including control over noise level and timbre, as well as a switchable filter type. Thanks to the Envelope Follower and Noise CV outputs, as well as several CV inputs, the Saturator can interact seamlessly with all other Moogerfooger Effects plug-ins.

I was looking for an envelope generator that could work well for drum sounds.
This is it.

Easy control over rise and fall and a cycle switch for each channel so can act as a nice Lfo that you can sync.

But the cv control over the slew amount makes it the best EG I’ve used for drums. In log mode (switch up) you can get short gated sounding slopes but in exp mode the slew control allows for extremely fast voltage drops. Couple that with a long decay and you can create a seriously punchy kick.

Second best feature is the bound input which gives you cv control of the envelope amplitude when being triggered. Super effective for velocity changes or hat rhythms.

Each envelope has an end of cycle output and there’s headers on the back to switch between end of the rise or fall cycle.

Global trigger or gate control and then 3 summed outputs that give you a max, average and minimum value of the active envelopes.
With a little extra patching you can also create a functional adsr.
