Schecter non mi delude mai

Il manico è eccezionale: estremamente scorrevole, un burro da suonare. Lo strumento è bilanciato alla perfezione e risulta confortevole sia da seduto sia in piedi; è abbastanza leggero nel complesso.

I pickup sono molto versatili: pensavo fossero adatti solo al metal, invece giocando con volume e tono riesco a ottenere anche dei puliti eccezionali. Il Sustainiac è un valore aggiunto e lo utilizzo spesso. Supporta senza problemi sia sonorità aggressive sia pulite, il suo carattere resta comunque orientato al metal e allo shredding in generale.

Piccola nota negativa: è arrivata con un setup da sistemare. Nulla di grave, ma ho dovuto rimettere le corde perché avevano il ricciolo con i locking tuner e lo strumento suonava in modo strano. Ho regolato anche l’altezza dei pickup. Inoltre, la ghiera del connettore jack aveva un passo diverso e ho dovuto sostituirla al più presto, perché il jack femmina entrava all’interno della chitarra. Una volta fatti questi piccoli interventi era perfettamente pronta da suonare.

L’hardware è comunque impeccabile: ponte stabile e meccaniche autobloccanti molto affidabili. Mi sono trovato subito a mio agio, senza alcun periodo di adattamento. Considerando la qualità complessiva, il rapporto qualità/prezzo è eccellente: vale ogni euro speso.
