Compact console for video and audio
The Rode RodeCaster Video is a versatile production console that brings video and audio control together in a compact format. Powered by an immensely powerful octa-core CPU and built around a scene-based switching architecture with an integrated audio mixer, it provides flexible control over complex production workflows. The system supports direct H.264 recording to USB drives, as well as separate ISO recording of up to six video sources alongside the programme feed, offering additional freedom during post-production. With direct RTMP streaming via Ethernet or Wi-Fi, the RodeCaster Video is well suited to live broadcast applications, while a wide range of connections, including HDMI, XLR and 6.3mm jack sockets, supports a variety of production setups. USB webcams, USB microphones, and Rode wireless transmitters can also be integrated, thanks to two built-in receivers that provide an alternative to traditional wired microphone connections.
Everything at a glance
The Rode RodeCaster Video offers an intuitive operating experience designed to keep complex productions easy to manage. Its high-resolution touchscreen and encoder provide direct access to key settings, while the input and scene buttons allow users to move quickly between video sources and customised layouts. Dedicated function keys provide convenient control over elements such as overlays, media playback, and chroma keying. The multiview display brings all essential information together in a single overview, allowing inputs, scenes and feeds to be monitored at a glance. Recording, streaming and audio details are also presented very clearly, so users always can keep track of the entire production process at a glance.

It delivers the flexibility and control needed for modern content creation without adding unnecessary complexity.
About Rode
Founded in Sydney, Australia in 1990, Rode has built a reputation as a specialist for high-quality studio microphones. The company's first product, the large-diaphragm NT1, was made entirely in-house in Australia: It quickly became a classic, and a variety of NT1 models remain in production to this day. Over the years, Rode has steadily expanded its portfolio to include a comprehensive selection of studio, live, and wireless microphones, with regular updates and additions to the lineup. More recently, the company has broadened its offering with a wide range of solutions for video, broadcasting, streaming, and content creation, establishing itself as a versatile provider of modern audio technology.
Autonomous live streaming
The RodeCaster Video has been specifically designed to facilitate live streaming workflows, offering flexible control over both audio and video settings. Direct RTMP streaming via Wi-Fi or Ethernet allows content to be delivered easily to platforms such as Twitch, YouTube and other streaming platforms. Customisable audio routing makes it possible to create separate mixes for the audience, headphones, and the recordings themselves, providing greater control throughout the production process. Its built-in auto-switching technology can automatically change cameras and scenes when a new presenter begins talking, helping to maintain a natural flow during live broadcasts, even without a dedicated camera operator. This makes the RodeCaster Video particularly suitable for formats such as video podcasts and panel discussions, ensuring dynamic results even when the only people present are the performers themselves.
In the spotlight
Rode software, Rode hardware
The RodeCaster ecosystem can be managed using the free RodeCaster app, which provides drag-and-drop scene creation, detailed mixer configuration, remote control, and a wide range of additional settings directly from a computer. The audio section follows a similarly comprehensive approach, with each of the nine channels offering a full processing chain including EQ, compressor, noise gate, high-pass filter, and de-esser. This is further enhanced by Rode's renowned APHEX processors – Aural Exciter, Big Bottom and Compellor – which help add clarity, depth, and consistency to vocal recordings. The Revolution preamps built into the XLR inputs deliver exceptionally low-noise performance and provide ample gain even for more demanding dynamic microphones. Developed and manufactured in Sydney, Australia, the entire RodeCaster platform reflects a unified approach in which hardware, software, and core audio technologies work together so well because they all come from a single source.
