Bajo genial, con personalidad y carácter a raudales. Pero hay que saber entenderlo. No puedes adaptar este bajo a tu forma de tocar. Al contrario, tienes que adaptar tu forma de tocar al bajo.
Compré mi primer bajo en 1979, cuando tenía 15 años. Fue una copia japonesa del 4001S en fireglo. Desde entonces he tenido muchos bajos, de todo tipo, marcas y precios. Aunque conservo el de 1979 lo tengo ultratuneado, y cuando salió a la venta la versión S del 4003 (con los dots y sin el binding, igualito que mi primer bajo), no lo dudé y fui a por él. Magia pura.

Belle guitare, très bonne finition.
Très aisée à jouer, le plus par rapport aux 4001/4003 c'est le chanfrein entre la table et l'éclisse (comme sur les CS ou les ROSE MORRIS), c'est plus confortable pour le poignet.
Le son est + puissant qu'une 4001, beaucoup de brillance, un peu de sustain, on peut dire à mi-chemin entre une 4001 et une 4004.
Cependant, je préfère le son de la 4001 qui est certes typé, mais inégalable.
Cela reste une très bonne guitare que je recommande.

Har spelat på Ric-basar i decennier och ägt ett gäng. Detta är den 4e jag beställt utan att provspela. Förutom den första (som var en 4001v63) har alla varit mkt bra. Det nya stallet är dock en förbättring och den här (byggd i maj -21) känns en aning mer slim och lättspelat än min 4001 från -11. Också lite mindre heta pickups och lite snyggare ljud. Men skillnaderna är små. (Betydligt hetare pickups + fetare hals än min 4001 från 76 dock). Men överlag upplever jag denna som i princip fulländad. Behövde endast göra små justeringar av trussrod och stränghöjd när jag fick den - klart!
