As per the title it's essentially a 2B with barrel tip. Which is very good in my book.
The barrel tip is quite rounded and not as flat as other models but it does give a nice punch that i like a lot.

Standard quality for Promark as always: good wood and good pitch matching.

Ces baguettes sont vraiment excellentes, une facilité incongrue à faire sonner les Toms et une longévité excellente :
J'ai pourtant eu ces fameuse baguettes en alu "joey jordisson" réputées incassable qui m'ont pété dans les mains à la longue, les promark "halpern" tiennent longtemps et plutôt dans le haut du panier (a voir selon l'utilisation, je ne suis pas non plus un gros cogneur)

La tenue en main est très bonne, les grosses olives facilitent un son puissant, néanmoins les nuances restent possible (écoutez periphery, v'la les ghost notes qu'il y a)

A mon gout une des meilleures baguette que j'aie pu jouer.

Ich war von den SD 1 von VF sehr begeistert und war auf der Suche nach ähnlichen Stöcken aus einem härteren Holz um den Verschleiß zu kompensieren.

Rein von den Daten gleicht der Matt Halpern von ProMark dem SD 1 von VF sehr. Das Exemplar von ProMark ist etwas kurzer und etwas härter und damit schwerer. Die kurze Schulter sorgt dafür, dass die Sticks viel Druck erzeugen, dabei aber sehr steif wirken. Es ist möglich leisere Schläge zu produzieren hierfür ist aber viel Kontrolle notwendig.

Leider ist der Kopf nicht (wie beschrieben) rund sondern fassförmig (ein Merkmal was mir wichtig war). Die Verarbeitung ist sehr gut und man braucht keine angst mehr haben, dass der Stock all zu schnell bricht. Auch der Aufdruck ist schön sauber (da kenne ich wesentlich schlechteres von VF).

Insgesamt bin ich nicht zufrieden. Der Stock entspricht nicht vollkommen der Beschreibung, ist für meine Zwecke zu unflexibel und tatsächlich nur für die härtere Gangart brauchbar.

Eigentlich bin ich nur ein Fan von Signature Gear, wenn es wirklich was extravagantes ist was es so im normalen Sortiment nicht gibt. Die Sticks lassen gut spielen und halten ordentlich was aus. Ich spiele generell querbeet durch die ProMark Sticks und war bisher noch nie eintäuscht.
