Outdated - don't buy
Two things caught me off guard after ordering, and I think other buyers should be aware of them.
First, the LS-P5 uses micro-USB rather than USB-C. For a device sold as new in 2026, this feels outdated — every other piece of modern gear in my workflow is USB-C, and adding a legacy cable just for this recorder is frustrating.
Second, software support is poor. The OM DVR Updater app does not work reliably with the latest macOS — I could not get it to detect the recorder at all, despite trying multiple USB modes and reinstalling. Firmware updates appear to be rare (the last public one was in 2023), and OM System's commitment to the audio product line seems minimal.
The audio quality of the LS-P5 is genuinely good, and the TRESMIC II microphone array sounds great. But buyers deserve to know that they're investing in hardware whose software ecosystem is essentially frozen. I would suggest Thomann either clearly flag this as legacy product, or consider removing it in favour of more current alternatives like the Tascam DR-07XP.

Small size, good features, weak sound quality.
The 3 mic system and the Bluetooth connection are very good ideas, but microphones are so noisy and the headphones amplifier is not even suitable for the fair drive of low impedance headphones, so it is useless to me. I sent it back.
