A secure and cost-effective rack bag

For anyone who wants to easily transport their 19" devices for use in different locations, the Millenium Rack Bag 2 is an excellent and eminently affordable choice that will meet even the highest standards in terms of ergonomics. Of course, it also provides sufficient protection for the equipment it is designed to carry: The contents of the bag can be securely screwed in place with the rack screws provided. The Millenium Rack Bag 2 can fit two height units (2U), with a practical shape and depth so that most standard equipment can be stowed and fastened without difficulty. There is also a generous outer pocket for transporting accessories and short cables.

Comfortable and convenient

There are two options for carrying the Millenium Rack Bag 2: The shoulder strap is solidly made, with sewn-in padding to better distribute pressure over a user's shoulders – rack gear is heavy, after all. There are also two sturdy textile handles that make it easy to carry the rack bag by hand, too. Conveniently, the covers for the front and back are fitted with a zipper, and they can be folded open completely and secured with a hook-and-loop fastener. The internal fastenings are very robust, keeping the equipment safe as soon as it has been screwed into place – and the screws for installation are included in the scope of delivery.

A welcome alternative

The Millenium Rack Bag 2 is an excellent choice for sound engineers and creative professionals looking for an alternative to the bulky wooden racks or uncomfortable hard cases often used for transporting 19" equipment. Thanks to its padded shoulder strap, the bag is extremely comfortable to carry while at the same time also ensuring a comparatively high level of safety for the gear inside. The hook-and-loop fasteners on the sides for attaching the devices' lids are a practical touch, and the large outer pocket also offers additional storage space for other accessories.

About Millenium

Millenium is one of Thomann's in-house brands and has been an integral part of the store’s range since 1995. More than 800 products – from drums and percussion through to accessories such as microphone stands, racks, and recording workstations – bear the Millenium label. These products are made by renowned companies who also manufacture products for other well-known brands. Since they are imported directly from the factory without any further distributors or sales companies, they can be sold at particularly attractive prices. Incidentally, one in every four Thomann customers has already purchased at least one Millenium product.

Quickly install hard-wired setups

The only things limiting the carrying capabilities of the Millenium Rack Bag 2 are the height and depth of the units that will fit in the bag – and these are typically standardised anyway. Otherwise, there are no limits to the gear that can be securely transported and quickly installed with it: For example, a busy roadie could pack their two-piece hard-wired power amp setup and need do nothing more than open the lids at the venue, plug the gear into the mains, and get the speakers connected. Equally, the Millenium Rack Bag 2 is ideal for an RF mic setup: The receiver sits in the top slot and there is a 1U drawer underneath to store a number of suitable handheld transmitters.

a
Portable rack units!
alrightguy 23.02.2018
This rack bag is being used to house a Fractal Axefx-ii and on occasion Focusrite Saffire Pro40, to and from practice and recording sessions, and acts as a suitable housing in my home where it cant always be set up.
Very sturdy build despite it looking a bit basic. The straps allow for relative ease when transporting, the bag feels pretty heavy but it gives a sense of protection for the gear inside. Handle and shoulder strap are padded and comfy.
Velcro front and back zips are genius and enables the gear to in essence never leave the bag, and it offers plenty of space at the back for cabling and operation.

Very easy to recommend this due to the fantastic price, just be sure to do your gear a favour and get some nice washers to avoid scratching as you'll be taking gear everywhere with this.

Really well made, and super functional. Suitable for at home or on the move usage.

I don't have too much to say, but for the price, you really can't fault it.

A
Nice concept, well made, but..
Aristotelis 22.10.2025
Its a well made bag but with two flaws. The depth isn't made for long-depth amps and the screws that bolt the amp to the rack case are very short and difficult to screw the amp on them.

When you open the front and back sides of the bag, the velcros that are supposed to hold the side-padding attached to the bag, are placed on the wrong spot of the bag, so you cant velcro the sides to the main bag.

This is a good bag and concept, but i would suggest it for less heavy amps and not long in depth. For example a band that has one amp and needs to carry it around in gigs. This bag would help them, if they dont want to carry a proper Thon Case. For now i keep my amps in Thon cases. Maybe i ll buy a T-amp 1500 to put in this bag.

Good quality bag in other terms.

J
Solid but with a caveat
Johanneswh 07.07.2019
For the money this isva very well build rackbag. But take notice: The suplied screws are rather on the short side (10mm?). They where to short for the amp I bought it for (Behringer nx3000d). I have tried without success to find screws that fit, but these are some weird non standard dimension. Neither US or metric screws fit, and Thomann could NOT help me with this. They have spare screws for sale, but they are the same short ones... I ended up getting an M5 tap and tapping the holes to metric dimensions. That is trivially easy to do IF you have the right tool...

Thomann seriously ought to re-design this detail!
