Worth a try
I tried them with a cheap all laminated guitar. I usually prefer mellow sound on my guitars, so martin retros were worth a try.
At the beginning it took a lot to break in and not sound harsh. Once settled I like them quite a lot. They have their own particular vintage vibe and warm sound.
I used them almost four months, so I think they are durable and last quite long, although at the end they were dull sounding.
But after experimenting I think that for MY guitar are better options.

Great strings
They last forever and feel amazing. I like their tone but on my 20 year-old dreadnought (cedar top) the basses are a bit dull to my taste - it could also be that the guitar is in need of a professional setup. Great quality strings for this price.
