If you have a great instrument (like the GPCE Inception Maple, for instance), don't go for less. These strings are a decisive part of the sound, which is unbelievably good when they are combined with the right guitar. I tend to go with Martin's recommendations for each of their guitar models. These strings are everything you want, and then some!

Brings out the real guitar
They need a little playing to get to their full potential. But once that’s arrived… They feel great, they sound great and last forever. Probably not for everybody or every guitar, but they bring out the sound of the wood. Pricey though.
