It's well made and comfortable to wear. It uses car seat belt type straps and adjusters. You need the retaining straps Max and Mini as well. Max provides the anchor point onto the plate at the bottom. Mini provides an anchor point at the top. I use it with a large bell Besson 981-1 EEb tuba, which does not have attachment points. The Max and Mini straps fit securely around the tubing. The bassbelt pro fits securely around me.
It can take a few attempts to set it up. So far I prefer the plate at the front to be just above my waist and off centre towards the left.
Sizing information was difficult to find, both via Thomann and directly from Lugo. I first ordered the XL harness and L Mini strap. I changed them for the M harness and the S Mini strap. The S Mini strap fits the tuba better than the Mini L. The M harness fits me better that the XL harness.
Thomann customer service were helpful. It was quick and easy to swap them over.
So far, it has solved the problem of playing while standing, with music on a stand in front of me. I think it should work well for marching, but you would need to have some way to hold the music (or memorise it).
It is a much better solution than a simple strap over the shoulder.
