Als Ersatz für eine 40 Jahre alte Lefima Bassdrum wurde die BMS 2614 hauptsächlich für Polka- und Marschmusik, aber auch konzertante Blasmusik angeschafft.

Klanglich liegen zwischen den beiden Instrumenten Welten. Die BMS 2614 ist gut dynamisch spielbar und kann von sehr leise bis über das komplette orchester hinweg gespielt durch satte, runde Bässe und einen warmen Klang überzeugen.

Sie ist für ein Instrument dieser Größe sehr leicht und deshalb auch gut für lange Transportwege geeignet. Lediglich die Ösen für Gurte sind nicht besonders hochwertig ausgeführt und der hochglänzende, schwarze Klavierlack bekommt sehr schnell Fingerabdrücke.

Insgesamt wurde diese Bassdrum vom gesamten Verein positiv aufgenommen und kann guten Gewissens weiterempfohlen werden.
