Quality strings for Jazz

Really like these strings, they're finished to a very high quality and very smooth under the finger. I use them on my Ibanez archtop. They give a lovely clear tone (slightly brighter than I expected). What is a nice touch is that they throw in an extra G string so you get the choice of playing a wound G or an unwound G as per your personal tastes (personally I'm using the wound G).

Vom Preis her hätte ich besser klingende Saiten erwartet. Auf meiner Archtop (die sehr gut ist) klingen die beiden tiefen Bass-Saiten muffig, dumpf und völlig anders als die restlichen Saiten (deren Klang wiederum sehr schön ist). Es gibt einen deutlichen Klangbruch, den man in dieser Preisklasse nicht erwarten würde.
Thomastik liefert m.E. bessere Qualität für weniger Geld.
Nun musste ich doch lächeln, als ich sah, dass mein "Vorredner" zu lang findet. ;-) Vielleicht sollte zu diesen Saiten noch ein Link zu einem passenden Saitenschneider hin? ;-)

Dopo aver provato D'Addario, Thomastik e altre marche in diverse scalature, con queste ho trovato la pace. La tensione è perfetta, media, non essendo dure ma nemmeno molli come le Thomastik. Il suono che ne esce ha un buon attacco e il bilanciamento sonoro della muta è ottimo, gli accordi suonano subito bene, senza curarsi di corde più o meno rumorose.
Trovo il timbro molto versatile, non essendo scure come le Thomastik ma nemmeno ferrose come le D'Addario, e quindi adatto anche per generi diversi dal Jazz.
Se anche costano un pò più della media, ripagano di tutto.
