Great box of tricks.

This is a lovely little unit. Got it as a WTF box.

Does so much. Smooth fx.. subtle.. movement.. vibe. Crazy unpredictable, 'WTF is that' stuff too. A limiter after it is an essential recommendation for your speakers! :D

Its a very unique bit of electronics. The unit itself is very well built. Pots are quality. Case is metal. I've got an mbase also & they're reliable. Layout of controls is good & the manual is well written & insightful.

I really enjoy the no-input / self oscillation side of it. Its really nice to jam out on it with small adjustments, remembering to almost mirror one side of the controls with the other & creating some balance in the chaos. Or try to anyway. Sessions such as this are great to record & chop up in a sampler afterwards to use in your DAW as unique textures, interesting rhythms or the raw element of an interesting pad sound.

This is my second one. Sold the last one when I was broke & regretted it so much that I had to get a replacement. Nothing else sounds like this. Lots of great YT vids that showcase its sound. Its very nice to have. Agree with the comment that the reviews don't do it justice. I'm always getting new sounds from it.

feedback wormhole.

Crazy little box. Warning: Not for the fainthearted!

First of all - make sure you have some sort of volume limiter after it (limiter, compressor etc), since the feedback screams can build up fast.
Don't plug it straight to a PA system or you will cause mayhem if feedback is cranked to a certain value.

Sound quality: since it's an analog circuitry (for the signal path, effects are digital), you will have noise. Mainly high frequency noise, and it's quite audible. You can reduce it with filter cutoff, but then you will loose top end fidelity of course.

As for functionality, it has 8 effect modes:
- Chorus
- Flanger
- Wave Glide I
- Wave Glide II
- Delay I
- Delay II
- Reverb I
- Reverb II

Also, if you dial in the volume to a specific value (near clipping), the device enters into a 'secret' mode where it starts to bounce between effects taking characteristics from multiple effects and combining them. Interesting results.

Combined with feedback and envelope follower you can achieve cool grooves when running beats through.

ACID!!

Brought for DJ / sound design use.
Device is great for freaky tones and screams capture, texturing a sound in an analog way, so expect modular sounding feedback tsunamis. While it is really fun from a start, will take some time to understand it and use as tool but not a toy.
It really is a feedback instrument, not just effect device. While there is nothing to compare this beast to, almost everything about it is a pros.
I would like it to have a bit more powerful delay insert, than it has, and more robust in/out sockets.

I use it with my Analog synth Vermona Perfourmer mkII, T-Resonator gives it so much deepness and organic movement. I must say that my purchase wasn't that convincing at first. I have read a lot of reviews saying how difficult it is to handle it, that you need to have a limiter otherwise it can blow up your speakers. In fact, it wasn't really the case, I have spent first two hours with it and it gets more intuitive, I know when there is a danger of some heavy feedback and how to avoid it. I use DAW for recording where I have placed Ableton limiter and It seems to do the job well.
What I am not really happy about are knobs which are quite tall and from the angle, you can not really see where exactly is the knob pointing. In some delicate situations where even small movement may change everything can be problematic. Overall I am very pleased and feel happy that I decided to get one.
