Ja, das Ding ist echt teuer (499 Euro im Dez 2024). Aber JHS ist auch ein sehr sympathischer Hersteller. Das aktuelle 10th Anniversary Video von Josh Scott hat mich dann überzeugt, die graue Variante der Colour Box zu kaufen. Sieht schick aus, wenn auch die Potiknöpfe etwas zu groß sind. Ich habe noch nicht alle Möglichkeiten der Klangfärbung ausprobiert, aber für Bass ist das Pedal schonmal hervorragend geeignet. Auch Drumloops lassen sich sehr gut mit dem EQ formen. Hinter einem mikrofonierten Gitarrenamp macht die Box auch eine sehr gute Figur. Hier will man ja bewusst eine Färbung des Signals erreichen. Clean kann jedes moderne Audio-Interface schließlich.
