Fretsprout - not good.
I ordered this give and waited about three months for delivery as ot was out of stock. I was really looking forward to my first American series Jackson (I have Chinese and Indonesian Jacksons and I love them).
The guitar eventually arrived. I was playing it for about a minute when I noticed five patches of discolouration on both edges of the fretboard caused by fretsprout. It looks terrible.
I'm shocked that the quality of such an expensive, American guitar is so poor.
There is no way the quality control guy or gal at Jackson didn't notice the discoloration: it's impossible to miss.
I'm also surprised Thomann didn't check the instrument before sending it out: it's a lot of trouble for me to repack the guitar and send it back, and wait for a new one (I've already been waiting three months for that one).
I don't appreciate a damaged guitar being pawned off on me for top dollar either.
Not impressed.
