It's always difficult to buy cymbals etc online - but once again Thomann's audio examples came through!
The splash sounds great - perhaps best when played with your hands - but I mostly (read "always") use sticks.
I have been a bit rough with mine, but so far there is nothing to complain about.

This is a nice splash to be played with your hand, it is really bright and it sounds really big, you might have to be careful if you use sticks to play it, I broke mine.

I would recommend it for recording and small acoustic sets, I used to use it with my cajon set and it sound really good.
