Tele Good
This beautiful black double bound T style guitar arrived in pristine condition all I had to do was lower the action, tune up and play.
Nut has been cut really well and the guitar rings like a bell.
Frets were all level and polished with no fret buzz.
The laurel fingerboard has a nice dark grain not too dry but I will condition the fretboard once it needs a string change.
The comfortable caramelized satin neck is smoother and very similar in feel to my Classic Vibe Jaguar….not too chunky not too thin…very nice indeed.
The vintage style split shaft tuners work smoothly and hold tune great also the string hole depth on this particular guitar is fine.
Guitar came equipped with compensated brass saddles instead of the chrome barrels on the older models and intonation is very good.
The Roswell alnico pick ups on mine measure 6.8k on bridge and 5.9k on neck and I get great tele tones on all positions, very similar in tone/output to the Tonerider vintage plus set in my other tele. The Toneriders have slightly more clarity clean but not much. The Harley bridge pick up has a bit more bite than the Tonerider bridge but backing off the tone knob a little had them sounding very close. The neck pick up has a punchy clear round tone and doesn’t have the wooly tone that some tele neck pick ups suffer from. Both pick ups handle clean and driven tones admirably and after adjusting both pick ups to balance the sound I feel no need to change them.
3 way switch and volume/tone knobs work fine no buzzing or crackling when in use.
The fit and finish on the guitar I received was near perfect, the binding and gloss black finish is beautiful. At this price point I expect some small imperfections to be present however the workmanship on the one I received is faultless.
My only plans are to swap out the saddle screws for shallower ones and try and source a cream pick guard that matches closer with the cream binding.
The sustain on this guitar is impressive even when picking/strumming unplugged it rings loud and clear….this one is a keeper.
Over 40 years playing guitar I’ve seen quite a few come and go in my collection and honestly past caring about the name on a headstock. In my opinion this low priced Harley Benton competes very favorably with the classic vibe Squier range.
Overall a great T style guitar and an absolute steal at this price ….Thanks Thomann.

Great instrument
At first look the guitar is very beautiful, and at second also.
Came setup very well, i just lowerd the strings a bit and the pickups.
The neck feels good, has some width to it but plays nicely.
The frates came POLISHED!! but the fret ends are sharp, haven't found anny deadspots.
Bought the guitar with intention to swap the pickups and do some mods but i don't think i'll do that in a wile because they sound very nice and have pretty good output.
Will be definetly replacing the tuners and switch and pots, they aren't bad, but to me they don't feel really nice.
The nut is good no need to do annything to it, maybe replace it for a bone or graphite but not really neccesery.
The body has a really nice weight to it.
All in all a great instrument came better set up than my gretsch streamliner witch is double the price.

Fantastic guitar!
This is the second TE-62 DB I ordered from Thomann and it is every bit as good as the Candy Apple Red one I purchased. In fact, I used a fret rocker and there were absolutely no high frets... the fretboard was perfect. The finish is absolutely flawless, the frets were already polished and there were no sharp fret ends. The workmanship, playability and sound quality are way beyond the price of this guitar. This one and the Candy Apple Red one I bought have totally replaced my Ash 60th Anniversary Fender American Standard Tele I bought new in 2011. When the Lake Placid Blue models are in stock, I will be placing another order. These models are the deal of the year. Buy one... you won't regret it.

It's a Tele!!!
First things first:
I 'm a semi professional musician for decades,and I own an 1991 American
fender stratocaster (non export model),a Mexican made fender telecaster, and a Japanese made squire stratocaster (upgrated with fender pickups - sss configuration), I 'm also a sound engineer...
Now, I 've just got the guitar, and here's my opinion:
Finnish is excellent!!!
Absolutely perfect fretwork, no sharp frets or even a little disturbing!!!
The neck is very easy, just a little flat for my taste (I 'm used to 7,25 and 9,5 necks),but it is not a problem.
The guitar came very nicely intonated, and low on action (I had to correct only the G string a bit) otherwise totally playable out of the box (I can't believe that somebody took the trouble to set the guitar up before shipping)
Hardware:
beyond my expectations (I was expecting that I 'll have to change the tuners - in fact there 's no need for that).
Only the switch feels a little on the "El cheapo" side, but we will see...
The rosewell pups are more than o.k.,I like them very much (I just had to back up a little on the tone, when using the bridge position)
The sound: It's a Telecaster, and sounds like one!!!
Overall:
This is a great guitar!!!
Not "great for the price" a great guitar!!!
For the price is a steal!!!
Now,can this guitar compare with my American fender?
No,but there's a price gap of €€€€ between them.
Anyway, she can hold her own against my other guitars.
This is a guitar, that punches well above her price !!!
Five months later, she became my favorite tele!!!
A year later,no problems whatsoever,and she's recording worthy.
Even the switch works flawlessly.
Thank you Thomann!!!

5 stars for your money
The overall quality of this product is amazing value for money!
I give it 5 stars because I feel I got 5 times the value. It is not a custom shop Fender, and should not be compared to one, but it is like you're paying for a VW Polo and getting a VW Passat for your money - but if you're expecting a Porsche you will be disappointed.
The neck is a good D-shape, not too small, not too big. A bit like my Yamaha.
Fret ends, paint, finish and overall QC is very good. Not perfect, but good.
Sound is typical Tele, and pickups are decent like rest of the electronics
Tuners and knobs are just fine.
This is a good comfi' daily driver, and will be fun to do some upgrades on.

On a country budget
If you are on a tight budget, this guitar wins by a country mile.
Build quality and finish are excellent. Played perfectly straight out the box. The selector switch is a little suspect and will definitely be replaced ... and I have replaced the bridge saddles as they were poor quality. Small grypes for a big guitar at a low cost.

SECOND time with Thomann and HB.
Having already bought one Harley Benton, I thought i'd try a second, hoping my first excellent one wasn't a fluke?
It wasn't! This HB-TE62DB BK is another great guitar, with great build quality, great looks, and a lovely sound once again. I was very impressed, and I was hooked! For the first time in my life a small guitar collection was a distinct possibility with guitars of this quality and at this cost. I love my Harley's, they're a class act without the high prices.

Very impressed
I bought this Tele as a go beside for my Yamaha Pacifica. I'm a beginner and have never played anything expensive. The tele was very well-packed and delivered on time to me in the UK, no nocks or bumps or blemishes anywhere. I tuned it and the tuners felt solid and up to the job. I played the few riffs I know and a song or 2 using chords. I didn't notice any issues with the fret edges and the neck feels similar to the yam Pacifica which is a plus for me. It sounds nice enough for a sub 200 guitar, and im really pleased with it. I'll definitely consider thomann again for any more kit i buy.

Very impressed!
Great guitar hands down. I have owned a few Telecasters, and unfortunately never gelled with them. This one, has become a staple in the short time I have owned it. Great sound and great price. But honestly, regardless of price, it’s really that good. I own 12 guitars and have been playing this one the most recently. Can’t go wrong. Great job Harley Benton!
