Back to the 80´s or not
Well, well. That was my first impression, when I got guitar in my hand. The neck is huge, more like 50´s model Gibsons, otherwise neck feels nice and fretwork is spot on. I did some adjustments, (loosing the strings, lowering string action and retuning it to a standard D), guitar was ready to sound check. It sounds really nice, very close to my mid 80´s Charvel.
I´m pretty impressed of Tesla´s sound. Pinch harmonics come very easy.
Floyd Rose 1000 keeps tuning very well on pull ups and dive bombs.
Conclusion: Dispite the neck is bigger than stated on specs and the output jack was loose, (Checkpoint to Thomann QC), this is keeper. The most important thing to me is, that guitar stays in tune and plays well.
I might shave the neck closer to a Fender Strat measures and install my resonance-booster in near future.
