How do they make it so affordable?
Straight to the point - this bass is a miracle for the money. The neck is comfy, smooth and beautiful (roasted maple for this price?!). Some people say they get somewhat sharp frets, but mine are smooth enough. Action is playable from the box, I think I will eventually ask my luthier to make it a tiny bit lower, but for now it's fine. Tuners are okay, not bad/not great, but do the work. The sound is exactly what I would expect from a P bass. So this is already very good. But on top of that - this bass is really lightweight!
If I nitpick - I would say the fretboard is kinda dry and looking pale, however it's something that can be fixed easily with mineral oil or some other dedicated products.
Probably I will still visit my luthier so he double checks everything and maybe makes some slight corrections (like improving action and intonation, fretboard darkening), but again - from the box it's totally playable and for the money it's, sorry to use this cliche, a no brainer. If you're looking for a P bass on budget without any obvious tradeoffs - buy this and be happy. Even if you're less lucky than me and you get unplayable action from the box, poor intonation and sharp frets - nearest luthier will fix it for, let's say 100 bucks on top, and to be honest - for extra hundred bucks this bass will still be a bargain.
