Insanely good bass

Bought this as a back up to my fender mustang short scale, this is a very similar size and weight, didnt require any setup, played great out of the box once tuned up, has some nice. Looking hardware, paint and neck finish is flawless... sounds as good as it looks, loads of sustain! Has selectable p/J pick ups, they are meaty even with standard strings, neck is slightly slimmer than the fender equivilant, not necesarally a bad thing.
im really impressed for the money... had to wait 4-5 weeks to get in stock... but well worth the wait

Fantastic neck, very comfortable to play, well set up with low action, good P bass sound , could benefit from pickup change in the future but perfectly adequate as is

Super Bass mit kleinen Verbesserungsoptionen

Was Harley Benton mittlerweile für eine Qualität heraushaut, ist schon beachtlich. Gerade, was die Teile betrifft, die man ohne Gitarrenbauer nicht hinkriegt.
Der Bass hat einen tollen Hals, der aufgrund seiner Verdichtung ganz leicht in die Kopflastigkeit kippt. Kann ich super mit leben. Die Verarbeitung ist aber sehr anständig und man mag ihn gern anfassen.
Der Klang geht voll in Ordnung, da muss kein Pickup getauscht werden. Ich hab ihn nochmal eingestellt, weil ich’s gern sehr flach mag, was die Saitenlage betrifft. Kein Problem, die Bünde sind ordentlich abgerichtet. Lackierung ist fehlerfrei.
Die Werkssaiten klingen gut, ich werde mir trotzdem was mit Schliff drauf ziehen.
Einzig die Mechaniken sind ziemlicher Mist. Die haben mindestens 5° Spiel. Man kann damit Stimmen, aber das nervt schon. Die werden also früher oder später getauscht.

Insgesamt freu ich mich auf meinen ersten Gig damit. Ist ein toller Hingucker, der sehr ordentlich klingt und gut in der Hand liegt. Für den Preis ein Nobrainer.
