Very Good Product, I Will Recommend These Machine Heads.
The Locking Mechanism are used after looping the Guitar String into its hole Then use the locking function to clamp the string and then tune it up the Guitar.
Now, Be Aware, Do Not Over Tune the instrument as the machine heads will not let go of the strings and there for over-tuning will warp your neck.
As mentioned above, the machine heads barely fit the guitar mentioned on the heading and i did not want to shave the head-stock on the guitar to make them fit as they just about reached thru from the back to the front of the head stock, The Machine-Heads are short by about 3-4mm and managed to get the strings thru the machine-heads.
The Machine Heads were very tightly fit. Bore hole on the Ibanez is a 10mm hole, so there was no problems with that.
If you are buying this item, be sure or prepared to alter your head-stock (Only If Your Comfortable).
BUT! If they do fit your guitar anyway, then i will not fault the product.
And because they just about fit the Ibanez RG550 i see and can witness the difference.
TIP: Any guitar with a whammy bar, when tuning the guitar use the whammy to stretch out your strings and repeat till all the strings are fully stretched and broke thru. (You probably know this already)...
