Very good tuners!

I used these tuners on Fender modern player+ telecaster, to replace original vintage tuners. No modification of the guitar head stock was necessary and they fit nicely. I decided to replace the original tuners with Gotoh tuners, because, I was not the fan of vintage style tuners reason being the cumbersome string replacement. Also it seemed that they do not hold tuning very well. The main idea for me to buy telecaster was that it is a very simple design guitar and I was hoping that it would make this guitar easy to maintain, change strings, and tuning would be stable. But the original tuners didn't manage to do it very well.

The locking tuners, allow very convenient string replacement and also provide good string tuning stability. The only drawback for me is that one of the tuners seem to be not very responsive for tuning. It seems that sometimes by turning it slowly it somehow does not increase pitch, but then it overshoots a little bit. With little iterative adjustments though, the string can be tuned eventually. I This is just small inconvenience and overall they are huge improvement over original tuners.

I bought these tuners to replace the standard ones on my Mexican fender strat - as I always had a hard time changing strings. Installing the Gotoh set was a piece of cake: I particularly liked the inclusion of two types of cast housings (for different hole sizes) as well as mini hammering bar to remove the old housings. Very handy! From a handyman's point of view, it was super easy. And then, the tuners themselves brought a different quality to my guitar. Changing strings is a breeze now - NO WINDING around the posts anymore! The string goes through the hole, you lock it, cut it... and that's it! Couldn't be easier. Tuning is easy, smooth and super stable. Finally, the tuners look sleek and you can smell the premium brand from afar. Highly recommended!
