Die neu designten Saiten von Gibson klingen nicht mehr so brilliant und ´holzig´wie die alten. In die grobe Richtung geht das klanglich aber schon noch.
Vom Spielgefühl her sind sie etwas weicher zu spielen als die alten `MB`Saiten, tendenziell eher wie die alten `J-200´Saiten.
An der eher mäßgen Haltbarkeit hat sich nichts geändert. Nach bereits wenigen Tagen setzen sie optisch stark dunkel an.
Das sind keine wirklich schlechten Saiten, aber in der Gesamtheit finde ich sie eher durchwachsen. Zudem sind sie ja auch nicht wirklich günstig. Alternativen, die ähnlich der alten Saiten klingen wüsste ich aber nicht. Da kommen diese neuen von Gibson wohl noch immer am nächsten.
Ich könnte mir vorstellen, dass Gibson da noch einmal etwas nachbessert und sie klanglich wieder stärker in Richtung der alten bringt.
