Wenn man als Anfänger für das Dobrospiel sich unsicher ist, den Saiten wegen, dann ist man eben mit den Saiten von PHIL LEADBETTER gut aufgehoben. Namlich kaum weiss manchmal auch ein alter Hase, welche Saiten auf ein Dobro aufgezogen werden. Dazu weiss man hier sofort, dass es eben 15 er Stärke auch gespielt werden können, damit der Slider nicht gerade ins Scheppern oder Klirren kommt. Prima und Vielen Dank

Der Sound ist kräftig und brilliant. Ich hab die Saiten auf der Gretsch Honeydipper ausprobiert. Aber irgendwie habe ich das Gefühl, dass die H-Saite (... bei mir A, da open D-Tuning) zu dünn ist. Also physikalisch zu dünn, nicht vom Sound. Dadurch leidet die Bespielbarkeit. Das ist aber sehr subjektiv. Muss man eben ausprobieren.
Die besten Saiten, die ich für die Resonator-Gitarre bisher entdeckt habe, sind die "John Pearse 790NR Spanish Neck Resophonic".
