Good choice

They are surely great strings but there is one think to keep in mind. I didn't use them right away after I bought them, cause the strings I had on the guitar where almost new. So when the time came to change them, I opened the GHS D.Gimour box and the strings where in individual paper folders, there was no nylon protection anywhere. So the strings had already rust spots on.

Not as I had hoped

This was the first time I tried these strings, and I was a little underwhelmed. The gauges were new to me; 10.5 -50, and they didn't shred my fingertips as one would expect.
The y were strings. It would seem David Gilmour has a bionic hand to bend the way he does with these strings. Way to go, Dave.
They sounded ok. I was expecting BOLD, I guess, but I have had better. They can be summed up with one word. "Meh."

Good.

I didn't notice a large difference (soundwise) with the normal GHS strings, which seem to have the same build quality/tonal characteristics. Anyway I like this gauge, it helps me to bend notes easily, but at the same time delivers a more thick tone. A good compromise between 0,10's and 0,11's. Worth trying!

Have been loving these strings. Perfect guage for blues and rock. Nice fat bass with bendable trebles. Hard to beat
