The instrument preamp is pretty strong, and if you're running Neural DSP plugins with a humbucker guitar, do not care what the instrument input led green light and lower the input gain level as much as do and increase the volume from the plugin's output or you'll soak the plugin with too much level of input signal.

I bought this interface hoping to be able to record at home and I was very satisfied. It sounds amazing and you can regulate the level of instrument sound recorded. It is small, so you can put it anywhere, although at first, I attached a guitar cable to it and it dragged the interface off the desk because of its weight. If you find a place where it won’t be pulled by the cables then it is fine. Other than that, it is an excellent budget interface for home use and would recommend it to everyone
