B
Solid & Reliable
Baldylocks 12.11.2025
I've been using the Telepath for 10 months now on weekly gigs in venues and stages of various sizes and have found it to be very reliable.
I previously had a 2.4GHz system which gave the odd problem in some venues, especially hotels for some reason but the Telepath has been 100% reliable so far with zero drop outs. I also wanted something quick and handy that didn't use a powered floor receiver. I'm currently doing 3 x 2 hour gigs (with soundcheck and a bit of noodling) before recharging but I'd probably squeeze a 4th gig out of them if needed. Also using it for acoustic guitar gigs. While they are plastic, the units feel like they are of a decent build quality.
Finally, it's not a big thing but for the price and because the product is 2 separate units I think Fender could have included a hard-shell case to house the units and cable together. That said a small case is cheap and easy to source. Anyway, buy with confidence.

R
Solid product, latency higher than stated
Recepticon 04.01.2026
I measured the latency to be 4.75ms, ~20% higher than the specs. This matches the measurements of another reviewer, so I subtract a star for the (slightly) deceptive marketing.

For the rest, the unit is exceptionally stable, battery life is according or better than the specs, no dropouts even when my receiver is standing right next to the Wi-Fi router.

I would probably buy it again.
